Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a senior software engineer to join our SCRUM team in India. You will design, develop and test automations and features, maintain existing automation, and push for maximum performance and scalability.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Python experience, a CS or STEM degree, strong CI/CD skills, unit testing and TDD, and excellent English. You will collaborate with engineers, designers and other partners in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with Python.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or STEM.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and modular development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
• Experience with unit testing and TDD.
• Curiosity and passion for problem solving and learning new technologies.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work in a multicultural team.
• Commitment to clean code and software craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do

• Work in a SCRUM team

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering in Python
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or STEM
• Operational knowledge of Python scripting and modular development
• Operational knowledge in CI/CD tools including GitHub and Jenkins.
• Unit test & TDD methodology
• Interest in mastering new technologies
• Passion for excellence in programming, software craftmanship, and focused on clean code
• Curiosity and passion for problem solving
• Fluent in English
