Job summary

Amex GBT in India seeks a Business Systems Analyst to analyze release management workflows, coordinate multi-service releases, and document SOPs. The role requires translating business needs into technical solutions with strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate has a CS degree and 3+ years in a related role, with experience in SDLC, release management, testing, version control, Agile, and tools like JIRA and MS 365. Travel/financial services exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field with 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with process mapping and documentation tools, solid understanding of SDLC, release management, testing methodologies, and version control with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a passion for learning new technology in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with microservices, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, travel or financial services industry, ALM tools (JIRA), and MS 365 tools is preferred.

What You’ll Do

Analyze current release management processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements that enhance quality and speed.

Manage day-to-day coordination of releases for multiple interdependent services and applications, ensuring all releases successfully pass defined testing and quality gates before progression through E2, Pilot, and Production environments.

Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system workflows while gathering requirements from business and technical stakeholders and communicating release status, timelines, and dependencies.

Track release metrics, identify trends, and generate reports to support process improvements; identify, elevate, and support resolution of release-related issues through root cause analysis.

Own and maintain multiple GBT business-as-usual travel counselor tools, collaborate with development and QA teams on tool enhancements, and work with the Release Manager to implement process improvements and best practices across interdependent systems.
