Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a seasoned data engineer to design and manage ETL/ELT workflows. You will implement pipelines with Apache Airflow, Alteryx and KNIME, integrating data from databases, APIs and data lakes.

The role requires collaboration with analysts, engineers and stakeholders, and participation in sprint planning in Bengaluru. You should bring 5+ years of ETL experience, strong SQL, Python basics, and AWS familiarity, along with an understanding of travel industry data to drive scalable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with data pipelines and ETL concepts.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience.
• Hands-on Alteryx and KNIME experience.
• SQL and data manipulation proficiency.
• Basic programming language (Python preferred).
• Experience in scheduling, dependencies, and workflow orchestration.
• Basic understanding of Prompt Engineering.
• Experience in using AI code assists.
• Experience in AWS.
• Knowledge of the travel industry.
• Location: Bangalore, India.

What You’ll Do

• Design and manage workflows using Apache Airflow (DAGs, scheduling, monitoring)

• Optimize workflows for scalability and efficiency

• Must be willing to work from Bangalore office location minium 3 days in a week.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of strong understanding of data pipelines and ETL concepts
