Job summary

Maiz Hospitality Private Limited is seeking a responsible Shift Manager (QSR) for its Maiz Mexican Kitchen brand, located in Mumbai, Pune, and Thane. You will oversee daily restaurant operations, coach the crew, and ensure top-notch service and food safety.

The role requires 1–3 years in a supervisory QSR setting, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Rotational shifts and weekend work are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12th pass; graduation preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in QSR or food service operations, supervisory role preferred.
• Experience with leading teams in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during the assigned shift.
• Supervise, guide, and motivate crew to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure timely order preparation, accuracy and quality standards.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness as per policies.
• Monitor sales, AOV, food cost, wastage and labour productivity.
• Handle inventory, stock, receiving and storage.

• Coordinate with Restaurant Manager to hit sales and ops targets.
• Handle cash, digital payments, and POS operations accurately.
• Prepare shift reports and maintain records.
• Support training and development of team members.

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and customer-focused Shift Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, manage team performance, maintain food safety standards, and ensure excellent customer service while achieving business targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily restaurant operations during the assigned shift.
• Supervise, guide, and motivate crew members to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure timely order preparation, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness as per company policies.
• Monitor sales, average order value (AOV), food cost, wastage, and labour productivity.
• Manage inventory, stock availability, receiving, and storage.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor attendance, shift allocation, and team productivity.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, operational checklists, and company policies.
• Prepare shift reports and maintain operational records.
• Support training and development of new and existing team members.
• Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager to achieve sales and operational targets.
• Handle cash transactions, digital payments, and POS operations accurately.
• Maintain sanitation standards, including cleaning counters, tables, and kitchen areas.
• Support inventory restocking, deliveries, and restaurant opening and closing activities.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure fast and efficient service during peak hours.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Minimum 12th pass; graduation preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in QSR or food service operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Experience with brands such as McDonalds, Dominos, Pizza Hut, or similar QSR chains is preferred.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, inventory management, and restaurant operations.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays.
