Job summary

ecolab is seeking a ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations. The role requires hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities, following best practices, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

You will lead development across modules like ITSM, CSM, MCO, Finance Management, and will build integrations using REST, SOAP, and IntegrationHub.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs and integrations (server-side and client-side).
• In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture.
• Experience with Finance Management and MCO processes (Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash lifecycle, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable etc).
• Familiarity with CMDB, Discovery, and ITSM.
• Experience with other Applications would be plus like ITOM, HRSD.
• Understanding of ACLs, roles, and security best practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions using best practices.
• Customize ServiceNow applications using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designer with advanced coding.
• Develop and maintain modules such as ITSM, CSM, ITOM, MCO, Finance Management.

• Create and manage Service Catalog items, workflows, FlowDesigner and ETL, Integration Hub, DataFabric/Zero Copy Connectors.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of platform issues.
• Support platform upgrades, patches, and releases.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Follow SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and change management processes.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities, follow best practices, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions using best practices
• Customize ServiceNow applications using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designer with advance Level coding skills.
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow modules such as ÏTSM , CSM, APO , MCO, Finance Management, Employee Centre.
• Build and support integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and IntegrationHub
• Create and manage Service Catalog items, workflows, FlowDesinger and ETL, Integration Hub, DataFabric/Zero Copy Connectors

• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and ATF (Automated Test Framework)
