Job summary

Kamms Management Consultants is seeking an experienced CNC maintenance technician to manage breakdowns and preventive maintenance on high-precision machines. You will diagnose root causes, repair spindles and ball screws, and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.

The role emphasizes TPM practices, 5S on the shop floor, and continuous improvement using Why-Why analysis and Kaizen. Candidates should be proficient with Siemens/Fanuc controls and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Understanding CNC machine operation and components.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic drawings.
• Hands-on repair of CNC parts like spindles and ball screws.
• Knowledge of TPM and 7 QC tools for problem solving.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis to address failures.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance: attend breakdowns, analyze root causes, implement corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance:

Attending machine breakdowns, analysing root causes, and implementing corrective actions.

Technical Repair:

Repairing critical assemblies such as spindles, ball screws, turrets, and automatic tool changers (ATCs).

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems:

Reading and understanding hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams for effective maintenance and repair.

Maintenance Planning:

Implementing and managing preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend machine lifespan.

Problem Solving:

Utilizing tools and techniques like 5S, Why-Why analysis, and Kaizen to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance machine reliability.

Shop Floor Management:

Maintaining 5S standards and eliminating leakages to improve the overall work environment.

Required Skills & Knowledge

CNC Machine Principles: Understanding how CNC machines work and their specific components.
