Job summary

SV Enterprises is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on CNC machines and manufacturing equipment in a high-demand plant in India. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to ensure maximum machine uptime.

You will diagnose alarms, service PLCs and drives, and coordinate with Production to minimize downtime while maintaining 5S standards and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining CNC machines and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
• Strong adherence to safety procedures and 5S housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of CNC machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot CNC machines including CNC Turning, VMC/HMC, drilling, milling, and other equipment.
• Diagnose alarms, faults, sensors, and control-system issues; maintain PLCs, sensors, and drives.
• Attend breakdowns promptly and restore machines with minimal downtime.
• Perform scheduled PM according to maintenance schedules and keep records.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams during maintenance activities.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machines; maintain spares inventory.

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of CNC machines and manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems in CNC machines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC Turning, CNC VMC/HMC, CNC Automats, drilling, tapping, sawing, milling, and other machining equipment.
• Diagnose machine alarms, electrical faults, sensor issues, servo/motor problems, and control-system faults.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, sensors, proximity switches, limit switches, relays, contactors, SMPS, drives, motors, and control panels.
• Attend machine breakdowns promptly and restore machines with minimum downtime.
• Perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) according to machine-wise maintenance schedules.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and machine history.
• Monitor machine condition and identify potential failures before they affect production.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams during machine breakdowns and maintenance activities.
• Maintain hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, lubrication systems, coolant systems, and centralized lubrication systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of compressors, pumps, cooling systems, electrical panels, and other plant utilities.
• Support installation, commissioning, shifting, and modification of machines and equipment.
• Maintain adequate inventory of critical maintenance spares and consumables.
• Coordinate with external service engineers and machine suppliers whenever required.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• Follow all safety procedures during maintenance and ensure proper LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) practices.
• Maintain 5S and good housekeeping in the maintenance area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine uptime, MTBF, and MTTR.
