Job summary

Recex Pvt Ltd. in Mumbai is seeking a field service technician to acknowledge receipt of customer products, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and test repairs according to instructions.

With a Diploma or ITI and 3–5 years of experience, you will pack and dispatch repaired units, maintain service records, visit customer sites, train new staff, and manage spare parts storage while reporting defects to the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or ITI (Electrician/Fitter) or any basic degree.
• 3-5 years experience in service/maintenance roles.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge receipt of products from customers for service.
• Troubleshoot problems reported by customers and file the service report.
• Repair the product following the repair instructions/training inputs.
• Test the repaired product for performance as per the repair instructions.
• Pack the repaired product properly and ready it for dispatch.
• Maintain proper service records for each serviced product.
• Visit customer sites/factories to attend to complaints in product functioning.
• Provide training to new employees on servicing/operation of the machines.
• Follow processes for collecting spare parts from stores.
• Ensure defective parts are stored for inspection or return if outside warranty.
• Report manufacturing defects or repeated failures to the Service Manager.
• Deliver/collect products to/from customer premises as required.

Education

Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or ITI – Electrician/Fitter

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To acknowledge receipt of the Products from Customers received for service
• Trouble shoot the problems reported by the customer and file the service report
• Repair the Product following the Repair Instructions/ Training inputs
• Test the repaired product for performance as per the repair instructions
• Pack the repaired product properly and make it ready for dispatch
• Maintaining proper service records for each product that is serviced in the service centre
• Visit Customer Sites/ factories to attend to complaints in functioning of the product and operation of the product.
• Provide Training to new employees on Servicing / Operation of the Machines
• Follow the processes laid out for collecting the Spare parts from stores
• Ensure that the defective parts are properly stored for inspection or return to customer if the case is outside warranty period.
• Report any manufacturing defects or repeated failures in products to the Service Manager.
• Deliver/collect the Products to/from the Customer premises whenever required.

Education:

• Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or ITI – Electrician, Fitter etc
• Or Any basic degree.
