Job summary

Focus Management Consultants is seeking a Service Engineer for on-site installation and commissioning at our Virar factory. You will be part of the Service department and coordinate with clients and team to ensure smooth execution of work orders and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds Mechanical/Degree or Electrical/Electronic diploma,ITI fitter, with hands-on installation experience, strong communication, and ability to collaborate with QA and design for field issues.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics required.
• ITI Fitter course also acceptable.
• Experience in installation and commissioning in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• On-site installation and commissioning of machinery.
• Close work orders for on-site installation and generate spares list.
• Attend FATs with customers and ensure all points are cleared before dispatch.
• Ensure timely travel to site for machinery installation.
• Facilitate on-site meetings with customers to define scope.
• Coordinate shifting and de-boxing of machinery.
• Coordinate with customer for proper installation arrangements.
• Coordinate with other departments for material shortfalls.
• Coordinate with Design/QA for documentation issues.
• Coordinate with customers before and after scheduled visits.
• Submit daily site visit reports on time.
• Submit weekly and monthly reports on schedule.
• Discuss site-visit status with supervisor in a timely manner.

Key Responsibility:

• On-site Installation & commissioning
• Responsible for closure of work order issued for on-site installation & commissioning of the equipment and generating Spares.
• Attend FATs along with Customer & ensure all the points are cleared before the dispatch
• Ensure on-time (as per schedule) travel to site for Installation of Machinery
• Facilitate meeting with customer on-site for understanding scope of work
• Facilitate shifting and de-boxing of Machinery
• Coordinate with customer for proper arrangement of installation activity
• Coordinate & Follow up with other Departments for shortfall material, if any.
• Coordinate with Design, QA team for design or documents related issue
• Coordinate with customer before & post the scheduled visit
• Ensure on-time submission of Daily Site-Visit Report to reporting manager
• Ensure on-time submission of Weekly Report to reporting manager
• Ensure on-time submission of Monthly report to reporting manager
• Timely discussion with Supervisor / HOD on site-visit status
