Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export logistics operations including planning, dispatch, transport, tracking, and delivery.
• Lead export shipment processes with shipping docs, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and coordination.
• Prepare and ensure timely invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, BLs, COOs and other documents.
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, transporters, lines and service providers.
• Negotiate freight rates, charges, and warehouse costs; optimize logistics spend.
• Develop relationships with logistics vendors and monitor vendor performance.
• Ensure DGFT, Customs, GST, FEMA compliance for exports/imports.
• Lead and mentor the logistics/export team; manage workload and performance.
• Maintain export records, vendor docs, contracts, and shipment records.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager Logistics to manage end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement.

Qualification: Graduate / MBA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export logistics operations, including planning, dispatch, transportation, shipment tracking, and delivery.
• Lead export shipment processes including shipping documentation, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and coordination with shipping lines.
• Ensure accuracy and timely preparation of Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other export documents.
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, transporters, shipping lines, and logistics service providers for smooth shipment execution.
• Manage and negotiate freight rates, transportation charges, CHA charges, warehouse charges, and other logistics costs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics vendors and service providers.
• Evaluate vendors based on cost, service quality, delivery performance, compliance, and responsiveness.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Production, Finance, Quality, Stores, and Dispatch teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor shipment schedules, container bookings, loading, customs clearance, and final delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DGFT, Customs, GST, FEMA, and other export/import regulations.
• Handle logistics-related issues, shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, customs queries, and vendor escalations.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Establish and monitor SOPs, processes, controls, and KPIs for logistics and export operations.
• Prepare and review MIS reports, logistics cost reports, shipment status reports, vendor performance reports, and management dashboards.
• Lead and mentor the logistics/export team, ensuring effective workload distribution and performance management.
• Ensure proper maintenance of export records, vendor documents, contracts, freight agreements, and shipment-related records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Export-Import, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of relevant experience in logistics and export operations, preferably in a manufacturing organization.
• Strong knowledge of export procedures, customs clearance, freight forwarding, shipping documentation, and international logistics.
• Good understanding of Incoterms, international shipping, container movement, and export compliance.
• Strong vendor management, commercial negotiation, and cost-control skills.
• Experience in handling and developing logistics vendors and service providers.
