Job summary

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH invites an experienced engineer to lead digitalization of production across global facilities in India. You will leverage process control, data analytics and AI-driven workflows to optimize energy, throughput and costs.

You will develop a roadmap for digital tools, collaborate with global teams, and enable data-driven decisions, while training users and expanding data access across LANXESS sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 10+ years of work experience in process control or digitalization.
• Strong knowledge of process control systems and data platforms like OSI-PI.

Responsibilities

• Drive digitalization of production and assets across LANXESS sites in a global matrix.
• Develop and implement the roadmap for digitalization technologies and tools worldwide.
• Identify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency, yield improvement, and OEE.
• Support design and deployment of AI/ML use cases for production (predictive control, anomaly detection).
• Provide training and development to users of digital tools.
• Improve availability and usability of production data across plants.
• Drive standardization of digital solutions and control strategies across sites.

Job Highlights

Drive digital transformation across global production facilities by leveraging advanced process control, data analytics, and AI. The role focuses on optimizing production efficiency (energy, throughput, cost) and enabling AI-driven workflows, including support of development of intelligent tools to enhance plant decision-making and data accessibility.

1. Drive the Digitalization of Production and Assets activities in close cooperation with global DPA organization


2. Development and implementation of the roadmap for the successfull use of digitalization technologies and tools at LANXESS worldwide


3. Identify and implement process optimization opportunities (energy efficiency, yield, control strategies, OEE improvement)


4. Support to design and deploy AI/ML use cases for production (predictive control, anomaly detection, process optimization)


5. Training and Development of users


6. Improve availability, accessibility, and usability of production data across plants


7. Drive standardization of digital solutions and control strategies across sites

Experience / Skills

• Specific Education Bachelors Degree in Process or Instrumentation Engineering


• Work Experience 10 Years+


• Special Skills Knowledge on Process Control Systems incl. data platforms, OSI-PI and other relevent Digitalization tools, Experience in Chemical Plant - Process control systems maintenance and excellence, Stakeholder management and communication skills, Understanding of cloud/edge architectures and digital platforms
