Job summary

LANXESS is seeking a SAP PP/DS specialist to actively support SAP PP/DS on S/4HANA, manage incidents, changes, and problems, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. The role includes planning national and international projects in PP/DS and collaborating with business stakeholders.

The candidate will assist with feasibility studies, workshops, and design-aligned customization for production planning and capacity leveling, ensuring integration with PP, QM, MM, and related modules.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in supporting SAP PP/DS module, preferably with S4 HANA.
• Proficiency in PPDS with good integration knowhow to PP, QM, MM, SD, TM, SRM, EWM.
• CIF (Core Interface) and ChaRM process knowledge.
• Excellent spoken and written English and intercultural communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Actively contributing to daily support with focus on SAP PP/DS in S/4 HANA including Incident management, Change management and Problem management and continuous improvement activities.
• Planning and execution of national and international projects in the context of SAP PP/DS module in S/4 HANA.
• Elaboration of functional and technical feasibility studies regarding new concepts and continuous optimization of existing applications in close cooperation with business stakeholders.
• Preparation, execution and results documentation of national and international workshops (requirements analysis, delta assessments, trainings etc.).
• Customizing according to design specifications in the area of production planning and capacity levelling with integration to PP, QM, MM etc.
• Coordination of customer specific developments, including requirements gathering, specification, build, test and handover to operations.
• Steering and coordination of external service providers with regard to task prioritization, resolving incidents and implementation of changes, including monitoring of service improvement.
• Support in PPDS integration topic with PP,QM, SD,MM,SRM,EWM etc

Experience / Skills

• 1 to 5 years of experience in supporting SAP PPDS module, ideally gained in external an/or in-house SAP Consulting, preferably with good insight in S4 HANA


• Proficiency in


• PPDS in combination with good integration knowhow to related process areas like PP,QM,MM,SD,TM,SRM,EWM etc


• PPDS processes, related master data management, planning heuristics, scheduling, capacity planning and integration monitoring


• CIF (Core Interface) and troubleshooting expertise in this area


• Solid understanding and practical experience in incident and ChaRM process


• Good experience in supporting globally integrated processes and coordinating with business stakeholders and service providers.


• Preferably, should have good knowledge of integration with IBP


• Preferably, at least 1 year domain experience in planning in Chemical or any other industry .Must have good knowledge in standard PPDS business processes.


• Strong abilities in thinking in processes


• Intercultural communication abilities, service orientation and assertiveness


• Presentation and problem solving skills


• Willingness for occasional business travels as part of reginal and global S4 Hana implementation/rollout projects


• Very good spoken and written English skills


• Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Following points would be added advantage

• Experience of end to end implementation / roll-out for PPDS Module


• SAP certification in PPDS module
