Job summary

Mahindra Logistics Ltd in India is seeking a Senior Executive Operations to oversee shift-level sort center operations, ensure shipment movement, SLA adherence, and overall efficiency across inbound, outbound, sortation, staging, and dispatch.

You will lead a team of associates and leads, optimize manpower, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen and 5S, while ensuring safety, quality and audit compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end shift operations in sort centers, warehouses or logistics hubs.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team including shift leads and associates.
• Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen and 5S methodologies for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end shift operations, including inbound, outbound, sortation, staging and dispatch.
• Ensure shipment processing and sortation meet defined SLAs and TATs.
• Lead and motivate associates, shift leads and line-haul support teams.
• Conduct daily briefings, manage manpower allocation and optimize resources.
• Monitor productivity, throughput and KPIs; drive corrective actions.
• Identify gaps and implement Lean, Kaizen and 5S to improve efficiency.
• Ensure optimal use of sortation equipment and automation.
• Ensure SOPs, safety, quality and audit compliance.
• Coordinate with Transportation, Customer Service, Inventory, HR and vendors.
• Prepare MIS, incident reports and performance dashboards.
• Present performance and action plans to management.

Role Overview

Responsible for managing shift-level sort center operations, ensuring shipment movement, SLA adherence, team productivity, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end shift operations, including inbound, outbound, sortation, staging, and dispatch.
• Ensure shipment processing and sortation are completed within defined SLAs and TATs.
• Lead and motivate associates, shift leads, and line- haul support teams.
• Conduct daily briefings, manage manpower allocation, and optimize resources based on volume.
• Monitor productivity, throughput, TAT, SLA, and operational KPIs and drive corrective actions.
• Identify process gaps and implement Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Ensure optimal utilization of sortation equipment and automation systems.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, safety protocols, and audit requirements.
• Conduct operational audits and support RCA and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Transportation, Customer Service, Inventory, HR, and external vendors.
• Handle operational escalations and resolve bottlenecks to ensure business continuity.
• Prepare daily/weekly MIS, incident reports, and performance dashboards.
• Present operational performance, key gaps, and action plans to management.
