Job summary

EY Bengaluru is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to build custom applications by defining data tables, UI components, and business logic within the ServiceNow platform.

You will engage in API integrations, script REST endpoints, and upgrade activities, while collaborating with a team of ServiceNow administrators to deliver reliable solutions. Strong programming skills in JavaScript and C# will be beneficial as you contribute to cross-platform projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS/IT/Engineering; 6–7 years of programming experience with at least 3 years in ServiceNow.

Job Summary

Build custom applications in ServiceNow by defining data tables, user interface and adding business logic.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Development Platform including Custom Development, etc.
• Integration with 3rd party application, Knowledge in scripted REST API
• Must have worked on ServiceNow version upgrade.
• Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules and configure Application UI and configure workflow
• Collaborate effectively with other ServiceNow administrators to develop solutions and handle general updates and configuration changes/requests
• Knowledge of .NET, C# and a programming proficiency in JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET
• Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and third-party controls
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions. Troubleshoot production problems related to ServiceNow custom applications.
• Address problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms
• Ensure the latest release of ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to IT operations
• Able to manage and lead integration of new products based on client requirements
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
• Ensure appropriate tools and processes are in place to have a development/production environment that is reliable and reproducible
• Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, stage, testing, sandbox, and production environments
• Participate in ongoing production support and end user support
• Ability to efficiently and appropriately estimate work effort requirements
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
• Participate in development of software user manuals and technical reports
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Skills and attributes for success

• System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
• Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, and IP networks
• Strong familiarity and working knowledge of ServiceNow Suite of tools (Platform capabilities, ITSM, ITOM, Dashboards and Reports, Performance Analytics, Knowledge Base, SOAR, SecOps, etc.)
• Working knowledge in ServiceNow as well as at least two (2) of the following areas:
  • Java/J2EE
  • C#/C++/C
  • VB/.NET
  • Perl
  • Python
  • SQL
  • JavaScript/AJAX

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; or
• 6-7 years of knowledge of computer programming languages and with at least 3 years of work experience in ServiceNow
