Policybazaar.com in Kochi is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the Direct Channel for our Insurance vertical. You will drive regional sales performance, manage a large multi-level field sales team, and develop strategies to expand market presence.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in sales (Insurance/BFSI), proven regional operations leadership, strong communication and negotiation skills, Malayalam language proficiency, and willingness to travel across Kerala.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of sales experience, preferably in Insurance or BFSI.
• Experience managing regional sales operations and multi-layer field teams.
• Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
• Direct Channel (Open Market) sales experience is mandatory.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to travel extensively in the region.
• Knowledge of Malayalam is mandatory.
• Ability to drive growth through planning and execution.

• Lead and manage a large field sales team comprising: Assistant Managers, Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, Field Sales Executives.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and target achievement.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and identify business opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive regional business growth and achieve sales targets for the Insurance business.
• Lead and manage a large field sales team comprising:
• Assistant Managers (AM)
• Deputy Managers (DM)
• Team Leaders (TL)
• Field Sales Executives (FSE)
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and target achievement.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Sales, preferably in Insurance, BFSI, or Financial Services.

• Experience in Direct Channel (Open Market) sales is mandatory.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive business growth through strategic planning and execution.
• Handled more than 200+ employees.
• Knowledge of the regional language (Malayalam) is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.

Working Schedule

• 6 Days Working
• Saturday & Sunday are mandatory working days
• One rotational weekly off.
