Job summary

Policybazaar is hiring an experienced Assistant Sales Manager to lead the Direct Channel for Insurance in Sonipat/Ambala/Rohtak. You will guide a large field sales team and drive regional sales growth.

The candidate should have 10+ years in sales, proven leadership, and the ability to manage multi-level teams. Travel across the region is expected. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required to manage stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Sales, preferably in Insurance/BFSI.
• Proven experience in regional sales operations and multi-layer field teams.
• Direct Channel (Open Market) sales experience mandatory.
• Handled 50+ employees.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region.

• Lead and manage a large field sales team including TLs and FSEs.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration.
• Monitor performance, productivity, and target achievement.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in field sales, team management, and business development, with the ability to drive regional sales performance and manage large multi-level teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive regional business growth and achieve sales targets for the Insurance business.
• Lead and manage a large field sales team comprising:
• Team Leaders (TL)
• Field Sales Executives (FSE)
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and target achievement.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and identify business opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth business operations and customer satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Sales, preferably in Insurance, BFSI, or Financial Services.
• Proven experience in managing regional sales operations and multi-layer field sales teams.
• Strong leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
• Experience in Direct Channel (Open Market) sales is mandatory.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive business growth through strategic planning and execution.
• Handled more than 50+ employees.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.

Working Schedule

• 6 Days Working
• Saturday & Sunday are mandatory working days
• One rotational weekly off.
