Job summary

Poclain Hydraulics in India is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on CNC, VMC, and TMC equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and support FANUC-controlled CNC machines and robots.

The role requires reading electrical and PLC schematics, applying root cause analysis, and coordinating with production to maximize machine availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, TMC, and related equipment.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Proficient with FANUC controls and industrial robots; capable of basic programming changes.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and PLC schematics and wiring diagrams.

Role & responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, TMC, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Maintain and support FANUC-controlled CNC machines and industrial robots.
• Diagnose machine faults using PLC logic, HMI, alarms, and electrical drawings.
• Support robotic system operation, maintenance, and programming modifications.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Implement Kaizen and continuous improvement projects to improve productivity, quality, and equipment reliability.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, and reports.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure optimal machine availability.
• Perform machine installation, commissioning, and alignment activities when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance standards.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance OEE and reliability.

• Strong knowledge of CNC, VMC, and TMC machine maintenance.
• Experience with FANUC controls and robotic systems.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Omron, or equivalent).
• Understanding of electrical circuits, drives, motors, sensors, servo systems, and HMIs.
• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and PLC schematics.
