Job summary

Metalman Auto is seeking a skilled robotics maintenance engineer to lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of robots from Panasonic, KUKA, FANUC and Yaskawa at manufacturing sites in Haryana.

You will troubleshoot robotic, electrical, mechanical, PLC, servo, and controller faults, maintain robot programs and controllers, and work to maximize uptime while supporting installation, commissioning, and optimization of systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of industrial robots.
• Ability to troubleshoot robotic, electrical, mechanical, PLC, servo, and controller faults.
• Proficient in maintaining robot programs, backups, parameters and controller settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and ensure maximum robot uptime.
• Monitor robot performance and perform calibration, alignment, and optimization.
• Support installation, commissioning, programming, and modification of robotic systems.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
• Guide technicians and junior engineers in troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical support and major repairs.

• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of Panasonic, KUKA, FANUC, and Yaskawa industrial robots.
• Troubleshoot robotic, electrical, mechanical, PLC, servo, and controller-related faults.
• Maintain robot programs, backups, parameters, and controller settings.
• Ensure maximum robot uptime and minimize production downtime.
• Monitor robot performance and carry out calibration, alignment, and optimization.
• Support installation, commissioning, programming, and modification of robotic systems.
• Conduct RCA for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth operations.
• Manage critical robotic spare parts and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical support and major repairs.
• Guide technicians and junior engineers in robotic troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Implement TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, LOTO, and maintenance standards.
