Job summary

Bajaj Finance Limited is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations and lead a team to achieve profitability and growth.

You will drive field-marketing efforts, manage the pipeline of leads, engage customers for new acquisitions and retention, and ensure compliant gold ornament valuation and vault security. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Gold loan banking experience or familiarity with gold loan products.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch operations and drive profitability of the branch.
• Lead field-marketing activities to boost brand visibility and product reach.
• Plan and monitor field marketing to maintain a healthy leads pipeline and growth.
• Engage customers for new acquisitions and retention of existing clients.
• Ensure compliant valuation of pledged gold ornaments and accurate weight/purity assessment.
• Safeguard pledged securities as joint custodian of the branch vault.
• Maintain low NPAs through proactive follow-ups on interest collections.
• Coach, mentor and train staff, providing timely performance feedback.
• Prepare reports and drive actions for branch growth and performance.
• Expand Gold Loan business and other products like NCDs and gold coins.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall branch operations, performance profitability of the branch.
• Drive, participate in field-marketing activities of various financial products along with the team to improve brand visibility.
• Plan, conduct, monitor the branch field level marketing activities to ensure health pipeline of leads resulting into business conversion and branch growth.
• Focus on customer engagement for new customer acquisitions and retention of old customers.
• Conducting error-free valuation appraisal of gold ornaments being pledged in branch with correct weight purity assessment as per company policy and auditory compliance.
• Joint custodian of the Vault with responsibility of safekeeping of pledged securities as per company policies.
• Responsible for keeping NPAs in control through strong follow-ups from the customers for interest collections.
• Good planning abilities are required for smooth functioning of the branch for developing cohesiveness within the company and co-workers.
• Hiring, coaching, mentoring and training employees and providing them with timely feedback on their performance.
• Maintaining quality performance of the business, preparing various reports of the same and taking necessary actions for growth of business in branch.
• Increase Gold Loan business, plus various other third-party products i.e., NCDs, Gold Coins sale etc.
• Responsible for correct valuation maintenance of 100% process compliance at branch.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 4-7 years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelors Degree/Post-graduation Degree preferred.
• Previous experience in gold loan banking, gold loan products, management or client service preferred.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
