Job description

The Regional Operations Head – West Region will be responsible for overseeing and driving the operational performance, service quality, and business growth across all EV logistics operations within the western region. The role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional coordination to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and profitability across cities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership

Oversee day-to-day EV logistics operations across multiple cities in the West region (e.g., Maharashtra, Gujarat, Pune).

Ensure high vehicle uptime, route efficiency, and service delivery performance as per client SLAs.

Manage fleet deployment, driver productivity, and charging infrastructure utilization.

2. Business & Performance Management

Drive regional P&L performance and ensure cost optimization while maintaining service quality.

Monitor and analyze key operational metrics – fleet utilization, energy consumption, turnaround time, and delivery success rates.

Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

3. People & Team Management

Lead, mentor, and develop city operation managers, supervisors, and on-ground teams.

Build a strong performance-driven culture with focus on accountability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Coordinate with HR for hiring, training, and retention of drivers and operations staff.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as the regional point of contact for key clients and partners.

Collaborate with the business development team for new client onboarding and regional expansion.

5. Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, statutory compliances, and EV maintenance standards.

Monitor ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) compliance and promote sustainability initiatives.

6. Strategic Initiatives

Support national leadership in expansion planning, network design, and adoption of new EV technologies.

Contribute to operational digitization, automation, and data analytics initiatives.

• Strong operational leadership in logistics, transportation, or supply chain (EV experience preferred).
• Analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to manage large, distributed teams and multi-city operations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of EV ecosystem, charging infrastructure, and fleet management systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred).

10–15 years of experience in logistics/transport operations, with at least 3–5 years in a regional leadership role.

Experience in EV logistics, last-mile delivery, or fleet management will be a strong advantage.
