Shadowfax Technologies seeks a Manager Last Mile Operations for the South Region to lead Flipkart ODH operations across the South area. The role demands strong leadership, P&L ownership, and stakeholder management to drive operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in Last Mile / Logistics Operations Management.
  • Experience in managing large-scale field operations across multiple locations.
  • Prior experience in E-commerce, Hyperlocal, 3PL, or Quick Commerce logistics preferred.

Responsabilités

  • Regional Operations Management across the South region, ensuring 100% of key performance parameters.
  • Own regional P&L, drive cost optimization and profitability.
  • Lead and mentor a large on-ground team with performance reviews and accountability.
  • Manage vendors, contracts, SLAs; ensure compliance and service quality.
  • Serve as main client contact for South region and handle escalations.
  • Monitor KPIs, prepare performance reports, drive data-driven improvements.
  • Lead new project launches and coordinate technology adoption and process standardization.

Role Overview


Manager Last Mile Operations (South Region) will lead and manage Flipkart ODH Operations across the South region.


The role requires strong operational leadership, P&L ownership, stakeholder management, people management, and decision-making capabilities to drive performance, operational efficiency, and profitability.


The ideal candidate should manage large field teams, handle multiple projects simultaneously, work effectively under high-pressure situations, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring operational excellence and compliance.


Key Responsibilities


1. Regional Operations Management


Oversee and ensure the smooth functioning of ODH operations across all hubs and cities in the South region.


Monitor and drive achievement of 100% of key operational performance parameters.


Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency, reduce TAT, and enhance service quality.


Ensure strict adherence to operational SOPs, compliance requirements, and process guidelines.


2. P&L Ownership & Cost Control


Own the regional P&L and drive cost optimization and profitability.


Identify cost leakages and implement corrective actions to control COD losses, material damages, productivity variances, and other operational losses.


Work closely with Finance and central teams for budget forecasting, expense management, and cost-efficient operations.


Drive initiatives to improve productivity and maximize operational profitability.


3. People Leadership & Team Management


Lead and mentor a large on-ground team, including Hub Managers (HIs), Team Leaders, and other operational resources.


Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and drive accountability across the team.


Identify underperforming resources and take timely corrective actions to maintain operational discipline.


Build a strong culture of ownership, agility, accountability, and teamwork.


Develop future leaders and strengthen the regional talent pipeline.


4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management


Manage relationships with vendors, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, Admin, Planning, and other central teams.


Negotiate and finalize rate cards, manpower contracts, and service-level agreements in alignment with business requirements.


Ensure vendors consistently meet agreed performance, quality, and compliance standards.


Drive timely resolution of vendor-related operational and commercial issues.


5. Client Management & Escalation Handling


Act as the primary point of contact for client communications and operational matters in the South region.


Handle client escalations effectively and ensure timely resolution.


Proactively communicate performance updates, risks, and improvement plans to clients and senior leadership.


Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.


6. Monitoring, Reporting & Performance Reviews


Analyze daily and weekly performance dashboards to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.


Monitor key operational KPIs and drive corrective actions wherever required.


Prepare detailed performance reports and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.


Drive data-backed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.


7. Strategic Planning & Execution


Lead new project launches, operational rollouts, and expansion across existing and new locations.


Collaborate with central teams on technology adoption, automation, and process standardization.


Develop and execute contingency plans during high-volume periods, operational disruptions, and crisis situations.


Take quick, data-driven decisions to ensure business continuity and operational excellence.

Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline.


Experience


5-8 years of experience in Last Mile / Logistics Operations Management.


Proven experience in managing large-scale field operations across multiple locations.


Prior experience in E-commerce, Hyperlocal, 3PL, or Quick Commerce logistics will be preferred.
