Job summary

Rockeira Engineering in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage BOQ, cost estimates, and billing for civil infrastructure and railway bridge projects. You will monitor costs, variations, and billing while coordinating with HO/PO and site teams to ensure milestones and timely approvals.

The role requires strong MS Excel, AutoCAD, Primavera P6/MS Project skills and familiarity with billing software; prior office coordination experience is preferred.

Role & responsibilities

• Review contract documents, BOQ, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Manage quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost estimates.
• Monitor actual quantities and project costs against approved BOQ and budgets.
• Prepare quantity reconciliation and cost-control reports.
• Identify variations, deviations, and potential cost impacts.
• Coordinate with site teams to achieve project milestones.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project programmes.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify delays.
• Review and manage RA Bills / IPCs, client bills, subcontractor bills, and final bills.
• Verify measurements and ensure billing is supported by proper documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants for timely bill certification and payment.
• Prepare MBs, quantity statements, reconciliation statements, and billing summaries.
• Ensure accurate billing as per contract terms and approved BOQ.

• Manage variations, extra items, deviations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
• Prepare supporting documents for EOT, escalation, and other contractual claims.
• Review subcontractor work orders, agreements, and payment terms.
• Lead and guide the QS, Planning, and Billing team.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Finance, and Design teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong experience in civil infrastructure / Railway Bridges projects.
• Experience in Head Office / Project Office coordination will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, Primavera P6/MS Project, and relevant billing software.
