Job summary

Mysore Consultants seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor to prepare BOQs from drawings, estimate costs, and manage contract compliance on civil projects in Bengaluru. Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software such as Primavera, Candy, PlanSwift is required.

You will analyze costs, monitor variances, coordinate with site teams and vendors, and contribute to final accounts and project closure as part of a dynamic project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/B.E. or M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering (or PG Diploma)
• Certification in Quantity Surveying preferred
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD and estimation software

Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQ based on drawings and specs
• Cost estimation, budgeting and project cost control
• Rate analysis and cost breakdowns
• Quantity take-off, measurement and RA bill certification
• Proficiency in civil works, interiors, and steel structures take-offs
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing works
• Verify contractor and subcontractor bills
• Prepare variation orders and extra item claims
• Contract administration and compliance with tender terms
• Knowledge of IS codes, specifications and construction standards
• Monitor progress vs cost and report variances
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants and vendors
• Assist in final accounts and project closure

Role & responsibilities

• Competence in Cost estimation, budgeting, and project cost control
• Rate analysis and preparation of cost breakdowns
• Quantity take-off, Measurement and certification of RA bills (Running Account bills)
• Proficiency in quantity take-offs for:
  • All types of civil works
  • Interior works
  • Steel structures
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing works
• Verify contractor and subcontractor bills
• Prepare variation orders and extra item claims
• Contract administration and compliance with tender & contract terms
• Knowledge of IS codes, specifications, and construction standards
• Monitor project progress vs. cost and report variances
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, and vendors
• Assist in final accounts and project closure
