Job summary

Hotpack Global Packaging is seeking a seasoned Production Leader to plan and control daily manufacturing activities across a busy plant in India. You will direct supervisors and operators, optimize resource use, and push Lean, Kaizen and 5S improvements to reduce downtime and costs.

You will coordinate across planning, quality, maintenance, stores and logistics, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while delivering KPIs and production dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, production, industrial engineering or related field.
• MBA in Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control daily production activities to achieve production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials and production resources.
• Monitor production schedules and coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Logistics departments.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Reduce downtime, wastage and operational costs through process optimization.
• Lead production supervisors, operators and support staff and manage workforce productivity.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs and customer requirements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and improve machine availability.
• Monitor raw material consumption and inventory utilization.
• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Support ISO, BRC, HACCP, GMP and customer audits.
• Prepare production MIS, KPI reports and management dashboards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or related Engineering discipline
• MBA Operations preferred
• Minimum 10–15 years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Experience in packaging, plastics, paper products or FMCG manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Factory Act, ISO systems and production planning
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and production reporting
