The Production Manager / Executive will handle end-to-end manufacturing activities including planning, execution, monitoring, and coordination with cross-functional teams. This requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet targets.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are carried out as per SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of batches.
- Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Maintain and monitor Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR).
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) for approvals and compliance.
- Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
- Minimize equipment breakdowns and coordinate with engineering for maintenance.
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) guidelines.
- Monitor in-process quality checks and ensure compliance with standards.
- Train, supervise, and guide production staff and operators.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Ensure availability of raw materials and coordinate with procurement teams.
- Handle deviations, incidents, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in audits and ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Maintain housekeeping and hygiene in the production area.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Monitor productivity and generate production reports for management.
- Coordinate with R&D for technology transfer and new product development.
- Ensure timely packaging and dispatch coordination when required.
- Manage shift operations and workforce allocation effectively.
- Resolve production‑related issues promptly to avoid delays.
- Maintain discipline, safety, and operational efficiency within the team.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to achieving overall production targets and business goals.
