Shreeji Flowtech Systems in Ahmedabad is seeking a Production Engineer to execute and monitor day-to-day production activities for primary packaging machinery, ensuring drawings and schedules are followed.
You will coordinate with Design, Planning, Procurement, Stores, Quality and Service teams to ensure smooth shop-floor execution, timely delivery, and adherence to safety and quality standards. BE/Diploma in Mechanical Eng is required with 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose: Execute and monitor day-to-day production activities for primary packaging machinery, ensuring machines and assemblies are manufactured as per approved drawings, production schedules, quality standards and customer requirements. The role will coordinate with Design, Planning, Procurement, Stores, Quality and Service teams to ensure smooth shop-floor execution, optimum utilization of resources, timely completion of assigned work and a safe, disciplined workplace.
Execute daily production activities as per the approved production plan, priorities and delivery commitments.
Monitor assembly, fabrication and machine-building activities for primary packaging machinery and ensure work progresses as scheduled.
Read and interpret approved engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions and specifications before execution.
Coordinate with Design / Engineering and Quality teams to resolve technical, assembly and quality issues on the shop floor.
Monitor productivity, cycle time, rework, scrap and machine downtime and escalations to the reporting manager.
Ensure proper utilization and care of machines, tools, fixtures and other production resources.
Identify shop-floor bottlenecks and support timely corrective actions to maintain production flow.
Track assigned production orders and communicate progress, delays and material constraints to the Manager Production & Planning.
Coordinate with Planning, Purchase and Stores for timely availability of raw materials, bought-out components, sub-assemblies and consumables.
Verify material availability against BOM / job requirements before starting critical production activities.
Support prioritization and sequencing of jobs based on customer delivery commitments and machine/project requirements.
Monitor work-in-progress and ensure timely movement of assemblies between fabrication, machining, assembly, testing and other stages.
Highlight potential delivery risks arising from material shortages, technical issues, capacity constraints or rework.
Ensure production activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Quality for inspection, stage-wise checks, testing and closure of quality observations.
Ensure proper identification and segregation of rejected / non-conforming materials and assemblies.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions for recurring production and quality issues.
Maintain required production records, checklists, inspection documents and traceability records.
Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke and Lean Manufacturing practices on the shop floor.
Monitor day-to-day compliance with shop-floor safety requirements, PPE usage, safe material handling and safe working practices.
Ensure operators follow approved work instructions, machine safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
Maintain shop-floor discipline and support attendance, productivity and work allocation monitoring without direct people-management responsibility.
BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
