Job summary

EIE Instruments Pvt. Ltd. in Kubadthal, Ahmedabad is seeking a Production Head to oversee planning, scheduling, and safe, efficient manufacturing.

You will manage production targets, manpower, material flow, and quality, driving continuous improvement with lean, 5S, Kaizen, and Kaizen practices. The role requires 4–5 years’ experience in mechanical production and hands-on leadership. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
• Prepare production schedules based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and delivery commitments.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time and cost.
• Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks.
• Ensure timely completion of production orders.
• Monitor productivity, output, and production efficiency.
• Take corrective action when production targets are not achieved.
• Coordinate with management regarding production capacity and delivery commitments.
• Manage production supervisors, operators, technicians, and workers.
• Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and performance.
• Identify manpower requirements and coordinate with HR for recruitment and training.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Planning, Quality, and Sales for timely materials.
• Ensure raw materials, components, and consumables are available as per requirements.
• Minimize material shortages, excess inventory, rejection, and wastage.
• Monitor material consumption against standard requirements.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality for inspection and testing.
• Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Improve manufacturing processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
• Introduce Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
• Reduce production time, wastage, and manufacturing costs.
• Ensure proper utilization of production machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure machines are operated safely and according to procedures.
• Coordinate with R&D, Design, Engineering, Quality, and Service for new product development and production.
• Ensure smooth transition of new products from development to manufacturing.
• Review drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and processes.
• Provide production feedback for product improvement.
• Control manufacturing costs through efficient utilization of manpower, materials, machines, and energy.
• Monitor overtime and unnecessary production expenses.
• Reduce scrap, rejection, rework, and wastage.
• Improve overall production profitability.
• Ensure safe working practices and PPE usage, maintain discipline and housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain production records, job cards, work orders, inspection records, and process documentation.
• Monitor actual production versus planned production.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Production Head – Role & Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Management

• Plan, organize, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.

3. Manpower Management

6. Production Process Improvement

• Improve manufacturing processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.

• Reduce production time, wastage, and manufacturing costs.

7. Machine & Equipment Management

• Ensure proper utilization of production machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure machines are operated safely and according to standard procedures.

8. New Product & Engineering Coordination

• Coordinate with R&D, Design, Engineering, Quality, and Service teams for new product development and production.
• Ensure smooth transition of new products from development to manufacturing.
• Review drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing processes.
• Provide production feedback for product improvement.

9. Production Cost Control

• Control manufacturing costs through efficient utilization of manpower, materials, machines, and energy.
• Monitor overtime and unnecessary production expenses.

• Improve overall production profitability.

10. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure safe working practices within the production area.
• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures.

11. Production Documentation

• Maintain production records, job cards, work orders, inspection records, and process documentation.
• Ensure production data is accurate and updated.

Qualification : Diploma/BE Mechanical

Location: Kubadthal, Ahmedabad

Salary : 45000 to 50000 per Month

Expierence : 4 to 5 Years

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
