Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process optimization: design and improve workflows, layouts and line balance.
• Production planning: schedule runs, allocate resources, meet targets.
• Quality assurance: apply lean methods and root-cause analysis to reduce defects.
• Equipment & tooling: oversee setup, tooling design, preventive maintenance.
• Documentation & compliance: write SOPs, work instructions, PFMEAs, CP plans.
• Safety & EHS: enforce safety protocols and ISO/OSHA standards.

Job Summary

The Production Engineer oversees and optimizes manufacturing processes to ensure high efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality. This role bridges product design and shop-floor execution by streamlining assembly lines, resolving technical bottlenecks, and maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing workflows, plant layouts, and line balancing to maximize throughput and minimize cycle times.
• Production Planning & Execution: Collaborate with supply chain and maintenance teams to schedule runs, allocate resources, and ensure target output metrics are met.
• Quality Assurance: Implement lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) and root‑cause analysis (8D, Ishikawa) to reduce scrap, rework, and process variation.
• Equipment & Tooling Management: Supervise machinery setup, tool design, and routine preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Documentation & Compliance: Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), PFMEAs, and Process Control Plans.
• Safety & EHS: Enforce plant safety protocols and OSHA/ISO standards across all manufacturing lines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience:

2–5 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MES platforms (SAP, Oracle).
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T, CNC programming, fabrication, or machining processes.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA).
