Job summary

Associated Industrial Furnaces is seeking a Planning Engineer in Kolkata to prepare and update project schedules based on the contract and set milestones for each phase. The role requires strong knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and EVMS, with experience in WBS, budgeting, and progress reporting.

You will monitor activities, prepare weekly/monthly progress, and support tender planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge and experience in Primavera P6.
• Planning, scheduling and monitoring with WBS and earned value.
• Knowledge of project delivery systems such as DBB, DB, IPD, BOOT and contract types.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update project schedule based on the contract.
• Set work program and target milestones for each phase.
• Monitor critical activities and advise project management.
• Prepare weekly and monthly programs and progress reports.
• Maintain site progress updates and cash flow as applicable.
• Participate in project meetings with the Client.
• Assist in tender preparation of work program, cash flow and manpower histogram.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare and update project schedule based on the contract.
• Must have knowledge and experience in Primavera P6.
• Detailed practical knowledge on Planning, Scheduling and monitoring function encompassing WBS, Overall project scheduling in P6/MS Project, detailed Progress Measurement/Earned value management system, Budgeting and invoicing, progress reporting, Field planning & Controls.
• Knowledge and experience about various methods of project delivery systems such as DBB,DB,IPD,BOOT etc & types of contracts.
• Set work program and target milestones for each phase based on the project plan.
• Monitor critical activities based on the project schedule and advise project management.
• Prepares and submit updated work program and cash flow curve showing actual progress and identify areas of weakness and establishes means and methods for recovery, if any, as well as new critical activities.
• Monitor day to day work progress and prepare the weekly and monthly program and report.
• Maintain and record update of site work progress obtained from Project Manager.
• Prepares monthly report reflecting work progress summary.
• Report to the Project Manager about the current work progress and make comparison between plan and actual progress and study impact of alternative approaches to work.
• Participate in project meetings and discussions with the Client as required.
• Assists in preparing work program, cash flow and manpower histogram for tenders.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
