Job summary

PSOVL Railone Pvt. Ltd. in Surat, Gujarat, is seeking a Planning & Billing Engineer to support the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project. You will prepare and update progress reports, monitor schedules, and coordinate with site teams.

The role requires 3–4 years of relevant experience in planning and billing for rail or infrastructure projects, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project. Joining on short notice is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in Planning & Billing.
• Experience in Railway/Metro/High-Speed Rail or major infrastructure/EPC project experience.
• Proficiency in BOQ, quantity calculation, RA billing and project planning.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Ability to read civil engineering drawings and measurement procedures.
• Strong coordination, documentation and reporting skills.
• Railway/metro project exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update daily, weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules and targets; prepare look-ahead plans and progress trackers.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for data collection.
• Track quantities, productivity, manpower and equipment deployment.
• Prepare Client/RA Bills and Subcontractor Bills; verify quantities with drawings and BOQ.
• Maintain billing trackers and documentation for variations, extra items and changes.
• Assist in cost and billing MIS reports; coordinate with relevant teams for bill certification.
• Joining at short notice as required.

Job Responsibilities

Planning

• Prepare and update daily, weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Monitor actual project progress against approved schedules and targets.
• Prepare work schedules, look-ahead plans and progress trackers.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for collection of execution data.
• Track quantities, productivity, manpower and equipment deployment.
• Identify delays/bottlenecks and highlight them to the Project Manager.
• Assist in preparation of project MIS, presentations and management reports.
• Maintain records of planned vs. actual progress.
• Support preparation and updating of project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.

Billing

• Prepare and verify Client/RA Bills and Subcontractor Bills.
• Prepare quantity measurements, reconciliation statements and billing supporting documents.
• Verify executed quantities with drawings, BOQ and site records.
• Maintain measurement sheets and billing trackers.
• Coordinate with Site, Planning, QS, Accounts and Client/Consultant teams for bill certification.
• Prepare quantity reconciliation for major construction materials.
• Monitor billed, certified and pending quantities.
• Maintain proper documentation for variations, extra items and additional works.
• Assist in preparing cost and billing MIS reports.

Candidate Requirements

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in Planning & Billing.
• Experience in Railway, Metro, High-Speed Rail, Track, Bridge or major infrastructure/EPC projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of BOQ, quantity calculation, RA billing and project planning.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project preferred.
• Good understanding of civil engineering drawings and measurement procedures.
• Strong coordination, documentation and reporting skills.
• Candidates with experience in railway/metro projects will be preferred.
