Job summary

TM Automotive Seating system in Chinchwad is seeking an Engineer- Metal Shift In charge to lead the Weld Shop operations. The role requires hands-on welding process expertise, IATF/ISO documentation, and strong problem-solving skills.

You will review engineering drawings with GD&T, plan manpower, and mentor the team while coordinating Kaizen and Poka-Yoke implementations; experience with Yaskawa robots is essential.

Qualifications

• DME/BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in relevant role (shift-in-charge / welding environment).
• Experience with IATF/ISO documentation, Kaizen and Poka-Yoke implementations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee metal shift operations in Weld Shop.
• Lead documentation under IATF/ISO standards and ensure compliance.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T for manufacturing.
• Plan manpower and manage workforce efficiently for optimal resource use.
• Robot teaching, programming, and troubleshooting for Yaskawa robots.
• Prepare SOP, PFMEA, and Control Plans; drive continuous improvement.

Field Experience:

• Handled IATF/ISO documentation.
• Understanding of mechanisms and welding structures.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Good knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
• Experience in Kaizen and Poka-Yoke implementations.
• Ability to take corrective actions on non-conformances.
• Good command of production-related documentation.
• Ability to perform robot teaching, programming, and troubleshooting for Yaskawa robots.
• Good command over preparation of SOP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Experience in manpower planning and workforce management for effective resource utilization.

Key Skills:
