Job summary

Arvind is seeking a Shift Manufacturing Engineer / Sr. Engineer in Gujarat to oversee end-to-end fabrication processes, production planning, QC, and contractor management.

The role emphasizes rotating shifts and ensuring timely execution of manufacturing targets in heavy engineering environments. Ideal candidates will have 3–7 years in manufacturing/fabrication, reading engineering drawings, and familiarity with ASME/TEMA standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily production activities with contractors to achieve targets.
• Manage end-to-end fabrication process for timely execution.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Design, Radiography, Purchase, Maintenance, Stores, Planning and Cutting Yard.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify and resolve non-conformities with Quality team.
• Study and interpret ASME Codes, TEMA and applicable standards.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation for ISO, ASME "U" Stamp and quality requirements.
• Coordinate sandblasting and painting as per project needs.
• Manage material availability, movement and storage with Planning and Purchase teams.
• Monitor progress, highlight delays and bottlenecks, ensure safety practices.

About the Role

We are looking for Shift Manufacturing Engineers / Sr. Engineers to manage and monitor end-to-end manufacturing activities, with a strong focus on fabrication processes, production planning, quality, contractor management, and timely execution of manufacturing targets.

Candidates with experience in the heavy engineering, pressure vessel, process equipment, fabrication, or similar industries will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily production activities in coordination with contractors to achieve production targets.
• Manage and monitor the end-to-end fabrication process to ensure smooth and timely execution.
• Coordinate closely with Quality Control, Design, Radiography, Purchase, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and Cutting Yard teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor manufacturing activities at various stages and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Identify, control, and resolve non-conformities during the manufacturing process in coordination with the Quality team.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards such as ASME Codes, TEMA, and other relevant codes.
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing-related documentation required for ISO, ASME "U" Stamp, and other statutory/quality requirements.
• Coordinate and organize sandblasting and painting activities as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with Planning and Purchase teams for effective material availability, movement, and storage.
• Facilitate and monitor job contractors to ensure timely completion and expedite the overall manufacturing process.
• Track production progress and proactively highlight delays, bottlenecks, and operational issues.
• Ensure adherence to defined safety guidelines and shop-floor practices.
• Work effectively in a rotational shift environment as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of the end-to-end fabrication process.
• Experience in manufacturing/fabrication of heavy engineering or process equipment will be preferred.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of ASME Codes and TEMA will be an advantage.
• Experience in contractor coordination and shop-floor production monitoring.
• Candidates from similar industries will be given preference.
