Job summary

Panasonic Life Solutions India is seeking a shift supervisor to lead the production team, ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and safety compliance on the shop floor. You will translate monthly plans into weekly/daily schedules and optimize resource use to meet schedules.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage materials, and support quality initiatives including ISO/OHSAS/5S/ TPM & TQM. Hands-on troubleshooting and knowledge of sheet metal press shop operations are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift team to deliver production volumes on schedule while maintaining set quality standards and ensure safety at all times.
• Convert monthly production plan into weekly/daily plan and schedule the same so as to achieve optimum utilization of resources and meet the delivery schedules on time.
• Own the process of production ensuring compliance to all systems and Safety requirement.
• Drive the shift team to continuously improve upon its production performance and achieve high standards expected from shop floor.
• Drive cost reduction and ensure adherence to safety stock level through efficiency and productivity improvement in his shift.
• Preplan for Raw Material and Follow up with MCD team in case of shortage and supply material before assembly line shortage
• Support Quality initiatives, including sustaining ISO/ OHSAS/5S/7QC Tools, certification, TPM & TQM, to deliver best in class performance from the shift team
• Play a key role in maintaining a high level of motivation in his shift and drive the development of shop floor personnel and managing shop floor discipline.
• Prepare and distribute MIS reports (4W1H, Why-Why Analysis, Pareto-Analysis & its action Plan) viz. Stock Accounting, production v/s plan reporting, work permits, Raw-Material Shortages on Production Floor, Resolving all sorts of Issues arising, Safety related data etc.
• Shift Operation-Hand on experience in sheet metal press shop operation and progressive lines
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues related to tools and machine.
• Knowledge of Oracle/SAP and preparation of daily production reports would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of spare management.
