Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. invites an experienced AM/DM to lead the weld body shop, overseeing 130 workers, 13 supervisors and 2 area incharges.

The role focuses on planning, manpower management, and continuous improvement to meet safety, quality and productivity KPIs. The ideal candidate will have BE/BTech in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 2–7 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of welding processes, and hands-on Robot programming for Fanuc and Kawasaki robots.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage a team of 130 workmen, 13 supervisors and 2 area incharges in weld body shop.
• Improve processes by analyzing issues and implementing countermeasures for safety, quality and productivity.
• Administer manpower, training, and skill upgradation of team members.
• Achieve production and quality targets; recover losses.
• Hands-on work on line, loading sequences, line data management.
• Drive Kaizen and efficiency improvements across the line.
• Train new supervisors and workmen for better performance.
• Perform defect analysis and implement countermeasures.
• Ensure safety, production, quality and KPI targets are met.
• Plan emergency and loss-recovery strategies.

• 1.Planning and management of 130 workmen, 13 supervisors and 2 area incharges in weld body shop
• 1.2.Process Improvement by analysing the issues and countermeasures to enhance Safety/Quality/Productivity.

• Detailed Knowledge of prevailing and latest quality systems to maintain weld body quality

• Detailed Door line and white body line Knowledge - Hemming Sealer application and hemming process in doors
