Job summary

Designco in New Delhi, India seeks a capable Lead MEP Engineer to oversee high-side MEP design and execution across multiple sites. The role requires coordinating with consultants, supervising HT/LT electrical infrastructure, HVAC, and firefighting systems, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills with on-ground problem-solving capability.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, AutoCAD, MS Project, and relevant software.
• Should have led at least one high-rise or industrial-scale project end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design verification, installation, and commissioning of all high-side MEP systems.
• Manage consultants and contractors for HVAC systems, HT/LT electrical infrastructure, transformers, DGs, UPS, panels, and fire suppression systems.
• Validate BOQs, technical drawings, GFCs, and system layouts.
• Supervise HT/LT works, transformer installation, substation setup, panels, and distribution boards.
• Review SLDs, load calculations, power factor corrections, and energy efficiency compliance.
• Liaise with DISCOM for load approval and electrical inspections.
• Lead HVAC system implementation chillers, VRFs, AHUs, ducting, insulation, and automation.
• Ensure integration with BMS and energy-saving components.
• Monitor cooling load distribution and performance parameters.
• Oversee installation of sprinkler systems, fire alarms, smoke detection, hydrants, and pumps.
• Ensure compliance with NBC and local fire norms; coordinate with fire department for NOCs.
• Supervise pressure testing, drainage design, STP/WTP setups, and water tank sizing.
• Lead cross-functional coordination between design, execution, billing, and site teams.
• Track MEP progress across multiple sites and ensure milestone adherence.
• Ensure vendor performance and material approvals meet quality and technical specs.
• Support billing and BOQ verification from an engineering standpoint.
• Ensure all works comply with safety codes, environmental norms, and quality benchmarks.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

High-Side MEP (Design + Execution):

Firefighting & Plumbing:
