Job summary

Career Tree Hr Solutions invites an experienced MEP Project Lead to conceptualize and manage large-scale MEP projects in India. You will design, estimate, and supervise HVAC, PHE and firefighting systems, while coordinating with contractors, consultants and regulators to meet strict budgets and timelines.

The ideal candidate has 9–11 years in Construction/QA-QC/MEP projects, with strong leadership and stakeholder coordination to deliver quality outcomes in complex environments such as airports,

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering required.
• 9–11 years of experience.
• Preferred experience in Construction / QA-QC / MEP projects in Airport Buildings, Highways & Bridges.
• Core expertise includes MEP execution, HVAC, PHE, Firefighting, QA/QC, contractor management, testing & commissioning, project planning and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize MEP projects based on operational, retail and commercial requirements.
• Develop preliminary designs, project estimates and budgets.
• Review MEP designs, specifications and cost estimates and provide technical recommendations.
• Support procurement through vendor identification, pre-qualification and technical evaluation.
• Plan project activities, milestones and progress-monitoring mechanisms.
• Review contractor QA/QC plans and technical/design submissions.
• Supervise HVAC, PHE and firefighting installations and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing and quality checks as per applicable industry standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Support change management, including additions, omissions and scope modifications.
• Verify measurements and certify vendor bills, running account bills and payment requests.
• Coordinate project handover to the client/operations team with complete documentation.
• Support initial system stabilization and ensure required service levels are achieved.
• Assist Procurement & Contracts teams in contract closure.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, designers, architects, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Train foremen/operations teams on post-construction maintenance requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend new MEP technologies, products and systems.
• Lead and coordinate a team of 24 engineers and manage multiple vendors/stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within approximately 5% of approved budget.
• Manage mechanical project works with Capex exposure of up to 20 Cr.
