Job summary

Trehan IRIS seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to lead on-site execution and supervision of MEP, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and ELV works, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery per drawings and timelines.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 6–8 years of hands-on MEP experience, strong coordination with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progress and successful handover.

Qualifications

Job description

The candidate will be responsible for the execution and supervision of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, Fire Fighting, and ELV works at the project site. Ensure timely execution, quality, safety, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and internal teams as per approved drawings and project timelines.

Role & responsibilities

• Execute MEP works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams for smooth execution.
• Ensure availability of materials, drawings, and resources at site.
• Monitor site progress and report delays or execution issues.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with safety and statutory standards.
• Review MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and site execution.
• Verify contractor measurements and certify executed work.
• Attend site coordination and progress review meetings.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Carry out snagging inspections and ensure timely rectification before handover.
• Maintain project records, drawings, and execution documentation.
• Support cost control by minimizing rework and material wastage.
• Resolve day-to-day site execution issues in coordination with the design and project teams.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• 6 to 8 years of experience in MEP execution within the real estate/construction industry.
• Hands‑on experience in execution of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, and other building services.
• Sound knowledge of MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Experience in installation, testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover of MEP systems.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, vendors, and cross‑functional project teams.
• Knowledge of quality standards, safety regulations, statutory requirements, and construction best practices.
• Experience in monitoring project progress, preparing execution reports, and maintaining project documentation.
• Strong planning, coordination, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
