Job summary

IThum World is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to plan, supervise, and coordinate all MEP activities at project sites, ensuring execution per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

You will lead site teams across electrical, HVAC, fire fighting, plumbing, and lifts, interfacing with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, supervising, and coordinating MEP activities.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical and MEP systems.
• Ability to coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP services.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all MEP activities at project sites, ensuring execution as per drawings, specs and schedules.
• Supervise HVAC works including installation, testing, commissioning, ducting, piping, equipment installation.
• Manage fire protection systems including pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, and related installations.
• Coordinate and supervise lift/elevator installation and related MEP requirements.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders for smooth MEP execution.
• Lead and manage MEP site teams, supervisors, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress to ensure on-time, on-budget, quality delivery.
• Maintain documentation including inspection, testing records and as-built drawings.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all MEP activities at project sites, ensuring execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate HVAC works including installation, testing, commissioning, ducting, piping, equipment installation, and related services.
• Manage and supervise fire fighting and fire protection systems, including fire pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, fire tanks, fire alarm systems, and related installations.
• Supervise plumbing and sanitary works, including water supply, drainage, sewage, rainwater harvesting, pumps, and related systems.
• Coordinate and supervise lift/elevator installation and related MEP requirements in coordination with lift vendors and consultants.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, project management teams, and other stakeholders for smooth execution of MEP works.
• Lead and manage MEP site teams, supervisors, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and ensure MEP works are completed within the defined timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify technical issues, execution gaps, safety concerns, and quality-related problems.
• Ensure all MEP installations comply with applicable codes, standards, approved specifications, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and handover of all MEP services.
• Review contractor work, measurements, material requirements, and work progress before certification/payment recommendations.
• Coordinate material planning and ensure timely availability of MEP materials at site.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions to avoid project delays.
• Maintain proper documentation including inspection reports, progress reports, testing and commissioning records, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with the Project Head and management for regular reporting on MEP progress, manpower, material requirements, challenges, and timelines.
• Ensure proper coordination between electrical, HVAC, fire fighting, plumbing, lift, civil, and architectural works to avoid clashes and rework.

• Ensure compliance with project safety standards and actively monitor safe working practices by contractors and site teams

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong technical knowledge of Electrical and MEP systems.
• Good understanding of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and Lift systems.
• Strong site execution and project coordination skills.
• Experience in managing MEP contractors, vendors, consultants, and site teams.
• Strong team-management and leadership abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple MEP activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of relevant MEP/project-management software will be an advantage.
