Job Description
The Medical Representative (Management Trainee) will be responsible for promoting the company’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals. It involves product detailing, market coverage, relationship building, sales support, and achieving assigned targets while gaining hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical sales and business development. The candidate will receive training and guidance to develop strong product knowledge, communication skills, and market understanding.
- Promote and detail pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and customers.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and business objectives within the designated territory.
- Conduct regular doctor visits, product presentations, and promotional activities.
- Develop strong product knowledge and effectively communicate product benefits and usage.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Maintain daily call reports, tour plans, and sales activity documentation.
- Ensure availability and visibility of products within assigned territories.
- Coordinate with stockists, distributors, and internal sales teams for smooth product supply.
- Participate in CMEs, medical camps, conferences, and promotional events when required.
- Collect market feedback and share insights with management for business improvement.
- Maintain high standards of professional ethics and compliance with company policies.
- Support implementation of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Resolve customer queries and ensure timely support to healthcare professionals.
- Develop territory coverage plans to maximize market reach and business opportunities.
- Prepare sales reports, MIS data, and performance updates for management review.
- Ensure timely follow-up on business opportunities and customer requirements.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales skills through training programs.
- Maintain strong communication and coordination with internal departments.
Key Skills
- Previous experience in medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and industry regulations
- Self‑motivated with a target‑driven approach

- Willingness to travel within a specified region
