Job summary

Role & responsibilities

Role Overview:

Role Overview: The Accounts Controller will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounting, financial closing, statutory compliance, audit coordination, and financial reporting activities of the finalization. The role requires strong experience in manufacturing accounting, financial controls, statutory reporting, taxation interfaces, and compliance management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or process-manufacturing sector.

The incumbent will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely finalization of financial statements while maintaining robust internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards, corporate laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• End to end financial Accounting and finalization
• Prepare and review periodic financial and management reports for senior management.
• Statutory and Regulatory Compliances Companies Act, IND AS, Monitor compliance with GST, TDS, professional tax, labour-related financial compliances, and other applicable statutory obligations in coordination with relevant teams
• Audit Management preparation of relevant schedules and supportings, coordination and liaison with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax auditorReview Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets and Capital Expenditure functions
• Team Management and Coordination with internal and external stakeholders

Required Experience

Mandatory:

• Qualified CA with 5-7+ years of experience in accounting, financial finalisation, statutory compliance, audit, and financial reporting (minimum 3 years in manufacturing sector)
• Strong experience in end-to-end finalisation of accounts for a manufacturing organisation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, fixed assets, provisions, reconciliations, and internal financial controls.
• Hands-on experience in statutory audit coordination and preparation of financial statements.
• Working knowledge of Ind AS, the Companies Act, GST, TDS, tax-audit requirements, and other applicable financial regulations.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or a similar enterprise accounting platform.Prior experience managing or supervising an accounting and financial-reporting team.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on accounting professional with strong ownership of financial finalisation and statutory compliance. The candidate must be capable of independently reviewing complex accounting matters, coordinating with auditors and cross-functional teams, strengthening financial controls, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
