India Japan Lighting seeks a seasoned finance leader to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, and deliver timely financial statements. The role oversees budgeting, MIS reporting, and internal controls while guiding a high-performing accounts team in a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidate has 15–20 years in Accounts & Finance, 35+ years in managerial roles, and hands-on SAP HANA ERP expertise, with strong Excel and reporting skills.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Review ledger postings, reconciliations, provisions, accruals and accounting adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act and internal accounting policies.
• Manage statutory compliances relating to GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESIC and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax auditors and government authorities.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor payments, ageing analysis and overdue collections.
• Support preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and monthly MIS reports.
• Analyse budget/actual variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor fund flow, cash flow and bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate with banks for facilities including BGs, LCs and credit limits.
• Lead, guide and develop the Accounts team.
• Drive process improvements and automation within the Finance & Accounts function.

Preferred candidate profile

• 15 - 20 years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
• Minimum 35 years of experience in a managerial / team-leading role.
• Experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
