Job summary

Posimind is seeking an AGM- Production (Machine Shop)/Senior Manager-Machine Shop to lead and supervise the machine shop operations in Kolhapur district. The role focuses on meeting quantity and quality targets while ensuring efficient production lines and adherence to IATF 1694 standards.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage preventive maintenance handovers, conduct Kaizen events, and develop cost-saving measures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for meeting quantity & quality targets.
• Implementing & maintaining manufacturing process accordance to IATF 1694
• Continual improvement to reduce rejection PPM, improve OEE
• Responsible to reduce waste in production process, downtime, overtime
• Ensure that all production lines are running efficiently according to capacity/schedule
• Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on time and take responsibility for handover machines to maintenance team as per the schedule/plan
• Root cause analysis and corrective action on daily in-house rejection
• Ensure all supervisors, managers completing their tasks effectively within specified time frame
• Provide internal/external trainings to supervisor, manager for upgrade the skill,performance.
• Conduct Kaizen Events to identify the Kaizen- innovation by new technologies
• Arrange motivational programme Rewards for the best performance
• Set & achieve challenging goals
• Revise the goal on six monthly based on last six-month performance
• Take calculated risks to achieve goals.
• Works within approved budget
• Control on cutting tools, coolant & other consumptions
• Develop & implement cost savings measures/ CR activity.
• Optimum use of organizational resources
• Ensure all tools, coolant, oil, consumable items meet regulatory & environmental standards.
• Proactively identify and mitigate production, quality, safety, and resources risks to ensure uninterrupted production
• Implement and maintain the manufacturing process accordance ISO14001 & 45001
• Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their position, designation; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.
• Implement & maintain 5S at shop floor
• Maintain zero leakage from machines and equipment with necessary support from the maintenance team ( zero oil /coolant seepage on the floor).
• Accountable for achieving production targets, quality target
• Accountable for CR activity
• Supplied parts to assembly meet quality requirement.
• Full authority to adjust production schedules, reallocate operator.
• Approve the purchase requisition
• To initiate actions to meet commitments in case of emergency situations(Resources shortages).
