Job summary

Poclain Hydraulics in Puducherry is seeking a production-focused role to ensure workplace safety, coordinate weekly planning, and drive continuous improvements across the plant.

You will train staff, monitor equipment, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to maintain traceability and standards while supporting lean initiatives and budget-driven resource optimization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety and 100% PPE adherence at the plant as defined in that workplace.
• Plan and coordinate the work, define and split resources for each station/cell based on weekly logistics planning.
• Drive production team and allocated resources (operating budget, investment budget, equipment, salaries).
• Train employees to standard procedures; keep the Skill Matrix up to date; ensure appropriate training levels.
• Identify malfunctions of equipment and inform Maintenance Department promptly.
• Propose and implement production improvements.
• Ensure traceability documents are properly filled in and 1st level maintenance sheets are updated.
• Ensure Quality, Safety and Work instructions are respected.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing engineering for machine setup when needed.
• Ensure teamwork between Manufacturing and other departments within PHPVT and with other factories.
• Support Quality Department in QRQC deployment and 7 Quality Basics; ensure adherence at fixed intervals.
• Lead the QRQC line approach and involve concerned people using the method.
• Create BOS / track plan vs Actual, OEE, DL efficiency; conduct weekly CFT meetings and implement countermeasures.
• Inform concerned departments in case of deviation or problems in standard processes.
• Machine load planning for daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly horizons; optimize resources with Ops Manager; track efficiency/scrap and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct production simulations and track all tasks assigned to CFT.
• Actively participate in the Kaizen committee and lean workshop improvements.
• Participate in EnMS committee and ensure team supervisor routines are followed and abnormalities are addressed.
• Ensure no Major Non-conformances in ISO9001, ISO-45001 & ISO 50001 audits and close NCs on time.
• YDPs are consistently set up during the budget process and reviewed quarterly by Process.

• Ensure the workplace safety and take quick actions to fix all the near miss / first aid injuries / accidents . Encourage employee to to identify the unsafe act and conditions , Review the HIRA for all new process / machines, Ensure all MR actions in place, Empower the operator to stop the production incase of safety issues and ensure 100 % PPE Adherence at the plant as defined in that workplace
• Plan and coordinate the work, define and split the resources in MBU for each station / cell considering the weekly planning given by logistic;
• Drive production team and the resources allocated (operating budget, investment budget, equipments, salaries
• Train employees to standard procedures, Keep the Skill Matrix up to date and ensure that resources are always used where they should be used (sufficient training level);
• Identify malfunction of equipment's and inform as soon as possible Maintenance Department.
• Propose/ implement production improvements.
• .Ensure traceability documents are properly filled in;
• .Ensure productive maintenance level 1 sheet are properly filled in;
• .Ensure Quality, Safety and Work instructions are respected.
• Provide, if necessary, technical support to the manufacturing engineering team for the machine setup;
• Ensure the teamwork between Manufacturing Department and other Departments in PHPVT but also with other factories of the Group and GME if required;
• Support Quality Department in the deployment of QRQC line and 7 Quality Basics, ensure 7 quality basis are followed at fixed frequency
• Lead the QRQC line approach and ensure that concerned people are fully involved and use the method;

Create BOS /Tracking the plan Vs Actual , OEE , DL efficiency shift wise / day wise conduct weekly meeting with CFT and take countermeasure for issues

• Inform concerned Departments in case of any deviation / problem noticed on the standard processes.
• 100 % PPE Adherence at the plant as defined in that workplace.
• Machine load planning, for short (Daily & weekly & mid term (monthly & quarterly) and work with operations manager for resource optimization, Efficency / oee / scrap level tracked and implement corrective / preventive actions
• Conduct production sim and track all the task assigned to CFT .

Actively participate in the kaizen committee and improve the current situation to next level lean workshop, CSR

• Actively participate in EnMS committee – identify the management program and improve the current
• Ensure the team caption and supervisor routines are followed as per plan and take actions for any abnormalities reported
• Ensure no Major Non-conformance in the ISO9001, ISO-450001 & ISO 50001 audits and closing all the NC/ observation within the time frame.
• YDPs are consistently set up during the budget process, The consistency of all YDPs is reviewed at least 3 months once and assured by the Process
