Job summary

JK Maini Precision Technology in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Production/Shop Floor Leader to plan and control CNC/VMC/SPM grinding and sliding head operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality production. You will set and optimize machine processes, prepare daily production plans, monitor OEE, and drive improvements across manpower and scheduling.

The role requires strong knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi), proficiency in MS Excel, and hands-on leadership to train

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to improve productivity.
• Monitor OEE, machine utilization, cycle time, and production efficiency.
• Prepare shift plans and allocate manpower based on production requirements.
• Coordinate machine breakdown analysis and restoration with Maintenance.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and on-time delivery are achieved.
• Drive productivity improvement and cost optimization.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement CAPA.
• Train and guide operators, setters, and junior engineers.
• Prepare daily production, downtime, rejection, and OEE reports.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen and safety practices.

Role & responsibilities :

• Handle CNC, VMC, SPM, Grinding, and Sliding Head machine setting and process prove-out.
• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to improve productivity.

• Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Tool Room, Stores, and Maintenance.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Train and guide operators, setters, and junior engineers.
• Prepare daily production, downtime, rejection, and OEE reports.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and safety practices.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of CNC, VMC, SPM, Grinding, and Sliding Head machines.
• Hands-on experience in machine setting, programming, and process optimization.
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, and Mitsubishi CNC controls.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining processes.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, tooling selection, and machining parameters.
• Experience with measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, shift planning, and manpower handling.
• Experience in OEE monitoring, productivity improvement, and cycle time reduction.
• Knowledge of machine breakdown troubleshooting and preventive maintenance coordination.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 7 QC Tools.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and production MIS reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred candidate profile :

Responsible for planning and controlling shop floor operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality production across CNC, VMC, SPM, Grinding, and Sliding Head machines. The role includes machine setting, programming, production planning, shift planning, OEE improvement, machine breakdown handling, manpower management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
