IGW invites an experienced Production Head to oversee cell managers and operators, steering the production strategy to ensure on-time delivery and quality while optimizing manpower and machine utilization. The role requires strong leadership, daily planning, KPI monitoring (OEE, cost) and implementing Kaizen/Poka-Yoke initiatives, with a focus on safety and 5S standards across the plant in Pune.

Supervises activities of cell managers and operators to ensure the effective and timely manufacture of quality products. Responsible for the implementation and execution of the production strategy in assigned production site(s) respecting customers/products specifications and utilizing the human and capital resources allocated
1. Review material availability and prepare the daily production plan to achieve BHT and RFD requirements.
2. Coordinate with shift supervisors for machine loading, manpower allocation, and execution of the daily production plan.
3. Ensure achievement of RFD targets in line with the monthly production plan.
4. Coordinate with the SCM team to ensure timely availability of input materials in accordance with the production schedule and RFD plan.
5. Conduct daily reviews of production performance, output, and quality issues with shift supervisors and ensure timely corrective actions.
6. Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and other resources to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
7. Identify training needs of supervisors and operators, and coordinate skill development activities to enhance competency and performance.
8. Monitor and review key performance indicators (KPIs), including production achievement, variance analysis, RFD compliance, in-house rejection, customer complaints, variable cost, direct labor cost, OEE, and productivity.
9. Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and implementing Kaizen and Poka-Yoke initiatives in coordination with supervisors.
10. Coordinate with the CSR team to ensure timely dispatch of finished goods to customers as per the shipment plan.
11. Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize machine downtime by ensuring timely breakdown resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
12. Support New Product Development (NPD) activities, including trial planning, execution, and process stabilization.
13. Ensure machines are handed over to the maintenance team as per the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule and monitor PM compliance.
14. Review internal, customer, and certification audit findings with supervisors and ensure timely closure of non-conformities (NCs).
15. Conduct monthly reviews of available production capacity against planned demand and identify capacity shortfalls or excess capacity for corrective planning.
16. Maintain daily coordination with the Heat Treatment (HT) team to prioritize processing and ensure timely material availability to meet customer requirements.
17. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, 5S, environmental, and company policies across the production area.
18. Escalate critical production, quality, maintenance, material, or manpower issues that may impact delivery or customer requirements to the Production Manager in a timely manner.
