Job summary

Patil Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance lead to manage the plant's heavy equipment fleet, including transit mixers and cranes. The role focuses on planning preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and coordinating with operations for smooth production.

You will also maintain service records, ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor spare parts while driving cost efficiency and safety. Strong leadership and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the plant fleet including transit mixers, loaders, cranes, forklifts, trailers, hydras, excavators, batching plant vehicles, and other heavy equipment.
• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with plant operations teams for equipment availability and smooth production activities.
• Maintain fleet maintenance schedules, service records, fuel consumption reports, and equipment history cards.
• Ensure timely servicing, inspections, insurance renewals, fitness certificates, and statutory compliance of all vehicles/equipment.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for timely availability of critical spares.
• Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Supervise mechanics, operators, and maintenance teams at plant level.
• Ensure proper vendor coordination for external repairs and AMC activities.
• Monitor fuel efficiency and control operational costs related to fleet management.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintenance SOPs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and utilization reports.

• Experience in handling construction/industrial equipment and machinery.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns efficiently.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and MS Office is preferred.
• Strong communication and team handling skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities.
