Job summary

Pagaar India is seeking a Fleet Manager to plan, coordinate and optimize the movement of a multi-location fleet in India. You will oversee route planning, maintenance scheduling and driver supervision to ensure reliable deliveries and cost control.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience in fleet operations, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in fleet management, transport operations or logistics.
• Strong understanding of route planning, fuel management and vehicle maintenance cycles.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of drivers and ground staff.
• Good communication skills with a problem-solving and ownership-driven mindset.
• Strong sense of ownership, integrity and accountability towards assigned responsibilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor the daily movement of the commercial vehicle fleet across all locations
• Optimize route planning to reduce fuel costs, transit time and vehicle downtime
• Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules in coordination with the workshop team
• Supervise, train and manage drivers and support staff, ensuring discipline and productivity
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle mileage and overall operating costs to control expenses
• Ensure all vehicles comply with statutory documentation, permits, insurance and safety norms
• Track fleet performance through MIS reports and present regular updates to management
• Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery commitments

Education

Graduate in any discipline; additional certification in logistics or transport management is a plus
