Job summary

Cemindia Projects is seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager Plant & Maintenance (Mechanical & Electrical) to oversee maintenance of heavy construction plants and equipment across project sites in India.

You will manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, monitor equipment performance, and coordinate with vendors to ensure uptime and cost control. Strong diagnostic and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years in Plant & Maintenance with EPC, infrastructure, foundation engineering or construction companies.
  • Hands-on maintenance of heavy construction equipment such as piling rigs, crawler cranes, hydraulic cranes, excavators, batching plants, compressors, DG sets and welding machines.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine and electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and implement effective maintenance solutions.
  • Willingness to work at project sites across India.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of construction plants and equipment.
  • Monitor installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of heavy construction machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Plan and execute maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability and productivity.
  • Coordinate with project teams for deployment, mobilization, and demobilization of equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, spare parts inventory, and service reports.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and OEMs for repairs, AMC, and procurement of spares.
  • Monitor equipment performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs, and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Support site teams in achieving optimum utilization of construction plant and machinery.

Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5–10 years in Plant & Maintenance with reputed EPC, Infrastructure, Foundation Engineering, or Construction companies.
  • Hands-on experience in maintenance of heavy construction equipment such as piling rigs, crawler cranes, hydraulic cranes, excavators, batching plants, compressors, DG sets, generators, welding machines, and other construction machinery.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and implement effective maintenance solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP/SAP/equipment management software is an added advantage.
  • Strong planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work at project sites across India.
