Job summary

Atharva Architects is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join our on-site team in Vadodara. You will support the design process, develop interior concepts, and assist with layouts, FF&E selections, and space planning for residential and commercial projects.

You will collaborate with senior designers and architects, contribute to construction drawings, and help update project documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience with interior design concepts and FF&E selection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or similar software.
• Strong visual communication and ability to work on-site with teams.

Responsibilities

• Support design team in developing interior concepts for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare layouts and presentations; coordinate with senior designers and architects.
• Assist with space planning, material and furniture selections.
• Create drawings and presentations; update design documentation.

Role Description

The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing interior concepts, preparing layouts, and assisting with material and furniture selections for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating drawings and presentations, coordinating with senior designers and architects, and contributing to space planning and design development. The role involves preparing basic construction drawings, updating design documentation, and assisting with site visits and measurements as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, requiring close collaboration with the studio team and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection and coordination.
• Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning and Architecture fundamentals for functional and efficient layouts.
• Candidates should possess skills in preparing Construction Drawings and basic technical documentation.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, MS Office) is beneficial.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment are expected.
• Basic knowledge of materials, finishes, and local building practices, along with willingness to learn and adapt, will be advantageous.
