Job summary

Era Design Studio in Surat is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support the design team through all project phases and help translate client needs into refined spaces.

You will assist with concept development, mood boards, space planning, and producing construction and interior drawings. The role also covers FF&E selection, vendor coordination, and site visits to ensure the design intent is accurately implemented, with close collaboration with clients and senior designers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Strong interior design and FF&E selection skills.
• Proficient in space planning and layout refinement.
• Ability to create Construction Drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience with local codes is a plus.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer role is based in Surat and involves supporting the design team across all project phases. Responsibilities include assisting with concept development, preparing mood boards, and contributing to space planning and layout refinements. The role involves helping produce construction and interior drawings, coordinating with senior designers, and maintaining project documentation. The Junior Interior Designer will support FF&E selection, vendor coordination, and site visits to ensure design intent is accurately implemented. Collaboration with clients and internal teams to refine design solutions and meet project timelines is an integral part of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection, with an eye for materials, finishes, and detailing.
• Proficiency in Space Planning, ensuring functional, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing layouts.
• Understanding of Architecture and construction principles, with the ability to interpret design intent.
• Ability to create accurate Construction Drawings and interior documentation using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of building codes and industry standards, preferably in the local context.
• Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills, including client-facing interactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a studio environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks.
